Summer is almost over for most people, but it’s still hot in my neck of the woods. I still crave cold and refreshing drinks, so I wanted to create a tropical cocktail to cool down and relax. This Piña Colada Smoothie was the perfect way to do it!
I love fruit smoothies because they are super hydrating and delicious! I make them in the morning to get me going. They give me a healthy buzz.
Are Fruit Smoothies good for you?
Absolutely! They are filled with vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and fiber. They’ll nourish you from the inside out and make you feel great!
However, it’s always best to balance out your diet. I usually have one a day and eat whole foods for the rest.
How do you make a healthy Piña Colada Smoothie?
It’s really easy and fun to make! Here’s how to do it:
Add coconut water and coconut milk to a high-speed blender.
Now add frozen banana and fresh or frozen pineapple. If you use fresh, add about 8 ice cubes to the blender.
Blend it up on high until creamy and smooth. Add more coconut water if it’s too thick. Top with fresh pineapple if desired.

- 2 cups pineapple , cut into 1" chunks (sub frozen)
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup coconut milk (or any plant based milk)
- 1 frozen banana
- 6-8 ice cubes (omit if using frozen fruit)
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Pour into your favorite glass and serve immediately. Enjoy!
