This Almond Joy Smoothie is rich, creamy & chocolatey sweet! You won’t find refined sugar or processed junk in this glass of goodness -just pure & natural ingredients to nourish your body.
*If you don't have coconut meat, you can sub in 1 large frozen banana and use half the amount of dates. The smoothie will still be incredibly delicious.
*If you don't have medjool dates on hand, you can sub in 1 tablespoon maple syrup. (add more if needed) It will lose a little texture, but will still taste wonderful.
*Topping ideas: Rim the glass with homemade vegan chocolate sauce
and dip in crushed almonds and coconut shreds. If chocolate is dripping, just pop in freezer for a minute. Top with homemade coconut whipped cream
and crushed almonds. Add a piece of vegan dark chocolate if desired. You can also use store-bought vegan chocolate sauce and whipped cream, or just omit all together. The smoothie is just as delicious on its own.
