Hi! Is there a way I can make this vegan and gluten free? All the GF breadcrumbs I’m finding contain egg. What could I substitute for the bread crumbs?

In reply to Tina Stokes. Hi Tina, I'm so happy they are a hit for you. Yes, you can fully cook and freeze them. Do you have an air fryer? They work perfectly in there right from frozen. You can also reheat in the oven, too....from frozen or thawed. If you bake from from frozen, you may want to loosely cover them until they are warmed throughout, then uncover the last few minutes to crisp up (so they don't dry out). I hope this helps. :)

Love these crab cakes. Always a hit. Wondering if I can make them in advance, fry them and freeze them. I’m hoping to just defrost and warm them in the oven to serve. Is this possible?

I really flubbed up this recipe by adding too much liquid. So I doubled the garbanzo beans. Everything held together pretty well and the taste was very good. I really like the flavor of the hearts of palm. I will try this again and get it right next time!

In reply to Angie. Hi Angie, I'm so happy you loved them! You can freeze the mixture on its own, but I find it easier to form the patties first. You can freeze the patties cooked or uncooked. :)
