Laritzy June 2016 Beauty Box Review

posted by Melissa Huggins June 27, 2016 0 comments

Hey gorgeous peeps, It’s time to reveal what’s inside the LaRitzy June 2016 beauty box. There were lots of great products in this and I’d like to share my overall impression of each one. These days, there are so many ways to try out cruelty-free & vegan beauty products without breaking the bank. Monthly beauty boxes are a great way to do this. LaRitzy is a women’s monthly beauty box subscription, that costs just $24.99 a month. You’ll receive 4-5 full-sized beauty products that are cruelty-free, vegan and can range in value of $60-$100. There is a no-hassle cancellation policy, too. Also, you can subscribe to their LaMini beauty box, which contains 2-3 full-sized beauty products, and costs only $14.99 a month. Sounds like a pretty good deal, huh? Shipping is free to the US and is $5 to Canada

So, let’s check out the goodies!

Concrete Minerals – Pro Matte Eyeshadow – Bandit – $9

Right upon opening this pot of eye shadow, I fell in love with the color. The color is Bandit and it has a soft dusty rose hue, with a beautiful matte finish. I had to try it right away to see how it would look on my eyes. Well, it looked great and it blended easily, too. This color was subtle enough for daytime and was easy to glam up for night. It’s completely durable and it didn’t cake or crease. This one’s a keeper!

Manna Kadar Beauty – Bronzer & Highlighter Split Pan – $21

I really love the warm & shimmery colors of this bronzer/highlighter duo. This split pan offers lots of versatility and you can create a soft-dewy glow or a sun-kissed complexion. I’ve also used it as an eye shadow and it looked fabulous. This powder looks beautiful on my face, but the ingredients aren’t something I would continuously use on my skin. This powder contains talc and I’m not a fan of that. I really love the velvety-smooth texture and the shimmery glow, but I will only use this powder on occasion. I’m very happy that it’s a vegan & cruelty-free product, but I just wish the ingredients were more natural.

OFRA Eye Liner Pencil – Black – $13

This eye liner glides on nicely and I was able to make the perfect cat-eye with it. It’s made with a synthetic beeswax, that gives it a soft and smooth texture. It’s water-resistant and suitable for sensitive eyes. It didn’t smudge or irritate my eyes at all. It works wonderfully and looked great on my peepers. I love that this eye liner is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, I just wish the ingredients were a little cleaner. I’m very picky and I lean towards non-toxic cosmetics.

Josie and Hue – The White Clay Mask – $22

I’m a really big fan of facial masks, especially clay-type masks. So, I was super excited to try this one out. I love that the ingredients are completely pure & natural. It’s made with: Kaolin Clay, Bentonite Clay, Vitamin C, Cucumber Peel Botanical Extract, Coconut Milk Powder & Chamomile Botanical Extract. All that goodness is made to detoxify, purify & nourish your skin. This vitamin-rich clay mask is delicate and hydrating and I love the way it made my skin feel. My face felt smooth, soft and silky. No dryness or irritation at all, just glowy and bright skin. It’s a dry powder and you just add water to turn it into a paste. Apply it to your skin and leave it on your for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with tepid water.

Smart Ash – Organic Teeth Whitener + Detoxifier – Sample

I’ve heard so many great things about using activated charcoal & clay to clean teeth. It helps pull the stains from your teeth, it removes toxins and helps remineralize your teeth. I’ve been wanting to try it out, but I was very hesitant because it seemed like it would taste horrible. Well, I’m so glad that I finally tried it. It does look gross, but it doesn’t taste like anything. It did look completely awful on my teeth though, so you might want to skip looking in the mirror. Seriously, it looks like something out of “The Walking Dead”. It can be a little messy, so you might want to brush in the shower. However, I got the hang of it and I just brush at the sink now. This powder in non-abrasive and food grade. I really love how my teeth feel after using this. My teeth feel smooth, clean and they already look a little whiter & brighter, but in a natural way. My pearly whites look like I’ve just left the dentist’s office.

Smart Ash, is a family owned and run company based out of Nashville, Tennessee. They personally make each jar and really put their hearts into their product. Check out these ingredients: Activated Coconut Shell Charcoal, Certified Organic Mint Extract, Calcium Bentonite Clay & Certified Organic Orange Peel Extract. That’s it, juts pure and natural ingredients from our mother earth. This is another keeper! I’m so glad I finally tried this out.

I hope you enjoyed my review of the LaRitzy beauty box. My two favorite products were: the Josie & Hue White Mask and the Smart Ash Tooth Powder. I feel I will get the most use out of them and I will be keeping them in my beauty routine. Overall, I was very satisfied with the products in the LaRitzy box. The products are top-quality and 100% vegan. Can you believe, that this box values at $65.00 and only costs $24.99? That’s a steal! This is such a great way to start filling your beauty cabinet with vegan & cruelty-free products. If you’d like to learn more, please visit
